Indications:
Revolution Plus is indicated for the prevention of heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria immitis, the treatment and control of roundworm (Toxocara cati) and intestinal hookworm (Ancylostoma tubaeforme) infections, and the treatment and control of ear mite (Otodectes cynotis) infestations. Revolution Plus kills adult fleas (Ctenocephalides felis) and is indicated for the treatment and prevention of flea infestations, the prevention of Dipylidium caninum (tapeworm) infections as a direct result of killing Ctenocephalides felis vector fleas on the treated cat, and the treatment and control of tick infestations with Amblyomma americanum (lone star tick), Amblyomma maculatum (Gulf Coast tick), Dermacentor variabilis (American dog tick), and Ixodes scapularis (black-legged tick) for one month in cats and kittens 8 weeks and older, and weighing 2.8 pounds or greater.

How does it work:
Revolution Plus combines the power of selamectin and sarolaner to deliver even broader protection against parasites with a unique dual action against fleas and ear mites.
- Selamectin mechanism of action (MOA): Kills parasites primarily through interference with their glutamate-gated chloride channels, causing paralysis and death of the target parasite.
- Sarolaner (MOA): Kills parasites primarily through interference with their GABA-gated chloride channels, causing increased nerve stimulation and death of the target parasite.
How effective is it?

Is it safe?
Revolution Plus safety profile:
- In preapproval clinical studies, no adverse reactions were associated with the concurrent use of Revolution Plus and commonly prescribed veterinary products.
- Revolution Plus may be administered to cats with adult heartworm infection.
Adverse events by treatment group: In a field safety and effectiveness study, Revolution Plus was administered to cats with fleas. The study included a total of 430 cats (282 treated with Revolution Plus and 148 treated with imidacloprid plus moxidectin once monthly for 3 treatments). Over the 90-day study period, all observations of potential adverse reactions were recorded. Reactions reported in the Revolution Plus group included those presented in the following table.
